  Kelly is very gifted in teaching piano to people of all ages. My two children and I took lessons from Kelly for a number years. Kelly addresses all areas of playing – even things like proper posture and breathing technique! Most of all, she shares her joy and love for music through her lessons. She organized recitals which gave us the opportunity to perform in front of family and friends. That was a particularly valuable experience for me, as I have continued to play hymns for my church. 

 Our son trained with Kelly for over 11 years. She was very patient and encouraging, and helped him to excel on piano. Lessons were a good balance of the classics as well as a more modern reportoir. She helped him to achieve the highest score on the AP Theory exam in high school, and he was well prepared when entering college as a music major. I highly recommend Kelly as a music instructor! 

  Kelly is a wonderful piano teacher and mentor. She is well versed in the fundamentals of learning piano such as theory, technique and more. I felt challenged and rewarded as her student. My biggest and most memorable accomplishment was when she helped me prepare to play piano for a wedding! I was really nervous, but her coaching gave me the confidence to play without making any mistakes. 

 Hello, my name is Lauren and I’ve been taking piano and voice lesson with Kelly for over 3 years now. When I started with Kelly, I had many obstacles to overcome, such as, TMJ, MTD, vocal swelling and scaring. Overall, my voice was not in a healthy place, however, Kelly helped me tackle these struggles and gives me tips still to this day on how to control those negative things in my voice.
Music and singing has always been very important to me and it’s something I’ve always wanted to pursue in college. Now, I can say I am officially committed to a college and will be majoring in Music Therapy. Without Kelly, that accomplishment would have never been possible. If I have one thing to leave you with, please take my advice when I say if you’re considering taking lessons of any kind, you will not make a mistake taking them with Kelly. She only wants the best for her students and she will try to make you the best you can be. 

  My 9-year-old daughter, Violet, has been attending weekly lessons with Kelly for a year and a half at her clean and cozy music studio. During this time, my daughter's piano skills continue to progress and so does her passion to improve. I find that Kelly is kind and very patient with Violet's learning style and tailors the lessons to fit her needs. My daughter leaves her lessons feeling confident and ready to take on her lessons for the new week. Kelly is helpful in so many ways that go beyond just lessons. She has provided us with helpful tips and suggestions for tools and apps that help Violet improve in a fun yet challenging way. I'd also like to mention the instrumental role Kelly played in helping find a piano that fit not only Violets' needs but my budget as well.  
 With the proper notice, Kelly is understanding and flexible when it comes to scheduling conflicts and emergencies. For example, during the pandemic, she switched to virtual lessons and never missed a beat. She stuck with us for the entire year and was able to help Violet progress despite the difficult circumstances. I cannot express how happy we are to have such a knowledgeable and professional piano teacher. Kelly is as good as it gets. 

 My daughter has been studying piano and voice under Kelly for over 3 years.  Kelly is so much more that a typical teacher. She cares deeply for her students, her goal is not only to teach how to sing or play but also to make sure you are in best possible health vocally.  Kelly has extensive knowledge as to what specific techniques and methods should be used so that each individual receives the best possible results for their voice.  Through her personal approach Kelly is able to detect any vocal problems that may be present and advise and recommend the best solutions to overcome them.  Kelly's methods and teachings ensured that my daughter was 100% prepared for anything she was working towards musically, Kelly's advice and guidance was extremely beneficial during the college application process for music school. She made sure my daughter  knew exactly what to expect, how to prepare and how to deliver the best performance for success. It is because of Kelly's methods that my daughter was accepted into her top college and where she will major in music with a voice concentration. I highly recommend Kelly to anyone who is looking to improve their music skills. She is the very best and you will not be sorry.
